Call me naive, but I’d trust a foreign organisation like Proton with my data over many UK owned organisations. When privacy and security are the company’s top priority over data-harvesting and profiteering then that’s more likely to gain my trust than which country they’re headquartered in.

We get prints of photos of our daughter and from holidays for exactly this reason. Snapfish does pretty cheap prints, so although they’re not amazing quality they’ll still do for having a look through every now and then.

Unfortunately, my memory is pretty shit so I often forget how I fucked up when the situations come around again.

I remember my dad saying he regretted having not done a different degree in his 20s. I love him and I know he didn’t mean anything by it, but it did feel like he was saying he regretted having the life that ended up with me in it.

Since then I’ve tried never to regret a decision, but still to learn from mistakes.
