Bought some handmade Christmas ornaments at a locally owned gift shop and some jewelry at a locally owned thrift shop. Some for me, some for gifts. Nothing was on sale, I was just showing some visiting family what a cute little town I live in.
Oh, and we bought brunch at a locally owned brunch place. The protesters on the freeway overpass have been telling me to Boycott Big Business and Buy Local for about a week now, so I did as I was told.

It’s not going to be updated with daily events, but simple Wikipedia has background and fairly up to date info on major conflicts. Regular Wikipedia is more frequently updated, but simple will give you the basics without over complicating and is a quick read.

I take one of two routes for an evening walk almost every day. It’s never occurred to me to listen to music or anything else while I do.
I live in a rural area with nice scenery. If you pay attention, it is different every day. Something new is starting to grow/bloom/die back, new birds have arrived or departed, the clouds are different, the air feels different, neighbors sheep are being silly in a different way.
I go specifically at sunset, so I find that very stimulating and no two sunsets are the same. I think about my day, my plans, goals, etc. It’s peaceful.

I am the same, but it can be problematic. I was at a wedding recently and drunkenly stumbled into a group of (white) people having a conversation about gun rights and how if they killed someone in self defense and there was a single person of color (not the word they used) on the jury they would be found guilty of murder.
I innocently assumed they were normal folks who were just a bit confused and began trying to enlighten them. It was not received well.
Some would say that was Margaret Cavendish, 150 years earlier. Mary Shelly’s novels are and have been more popular though.
