Yes, Pi-hole helps, it is not as good as an inbuilt adblocker or a more capable one like Ublock Origin, but it is better than nothing :)

Do you have an iOS device? I remember mentioning battery drain issues with either Zerotier or Tailscale due to poor background process management with iOS.
Yes, I don’t think anyone thinks otherwise, but built in adblockers are better than DNS adblockers, which consecutively are better than nothing lol (also you could pair both I guess and get an improved experience).
You got downvoted but it is true, it doesn’t while other browsers do, and block ads which is a nice plus.
Firefox offers extension support and that is a reason to forgive it a lot of lacks… But we shouldn’t be conformist about the fact that the Android/iOS client needs a lot of work.
Perhaps if you tell us which DNS you are using.
I have tried it and while it works, DNS adblocking (and the hassle to remember to turn on the VPN for browsing) doesn’t works as good nor is as smooth as using a browser with AdBlock support, or Ublock Origin extension.
Apple does not allow other browsers than Safari on iOS. All other browsers are just reskins of Safari.
And yet only Brave blocks ads effortlessly…
Of course it is an Apple issue in the core, but unless Firefox includes a proper ad blocking frautre (no add-ons needed because that’s unlikely to happen in iOS) is also a Firefox issue, and I I’d say the main reason why it loses market when competing against Brave in such a closed environment.
I choose Brave instead of Vivaldi in Android as a second browser just because of 1 feature:
Vivaldi won’t force dark mode in all the websites WHEN the device is in dark mode only, it includes a toggle to on or off only and it doesn’t care if the device is light or dark.
I use automatic light/dark mode and Brave and Firefox (with the Dark Reader extension) works well with this.
Also the Vivaldi team is aware of this lacking feature since years ago but they can’t seem to fix it somehow… That’s fine by me, I can work my way without it.
Because it is still Chromium based and it means it is fast on Android, plus it comes packed with an adblocker by default which works wonders in closed out systems like iOS, also as many browsers (not all of them) it supports account syncing which it is always a nice plus (I can use a good working version of Brave in all the systems and keep a good flow for example).
I main Firefox in pretty much all the systems, but the Android app is missing a lot of features like tab management, and the iOS client just sucks (Brave works better there despite being Safari based too).
It is funny because it is true.
I have seen pics of the screen and honestly it looks so good, what kind of screen is it? (I know it is an OLED) like, you’d expect these companies to use very cheap panels or so.
I kinda find it crazy that our phones are called smart phones and yet they’re dumbed down unnecessarily…
Maybe it is not completely related, but that’s why I keep certain activities for PC only (like using it to buy stuff for example).
I use whatever the stock launcher of the ROM is…
I am a full screen gestures user and for me the 3rd party launchers are broken since A12, or probably before that, even with usage of the GestureNavContract API they are still not smooth enough for me…
With that said, if you are rooted you can get away from that limitation with Lawnchair and quickSwitch, or if you use navigation buttons you are gold with almost all the launchers I’d say.
I think the iPhone 5s would be the one that fits the question IMO.
Maybe I am a bit biased as I want to get a OnePlus Nord 4 (although I will better wait for the 5th) but I really like its design, and the design is like the last thing I care about a phone 😅 (I always end up setting a cheap screen protector and a cheap case).
Ahh, classic style.
Quite a bunch, but the ones I come more often to my mind (and that are not DS titles, if not it would be Jump Ultimate Stars, Metroid Prime Hunters or Mario Kart DS) are:
Jackie Chan Stutmaster and Toy Story 2, both PS1 games (among other PS1 titles).
Jump Ultimate Stars.
The fatal flaw is that it is old and you need to do a lot of extra steps to play online in 2025, but aside from that, the game has a very steep learning curve so even the greatest otaku can struggle to get into it, competitively specially, if there is a room for that word in 2025 😅
I haven’t heard about that browser, it seems that it does its own thing, IDK man, if FF that has years in the market and still hasn’t caught up, I have no big hopes for “new” projects.
And yet it uses less RAM in Android phones compared to my goat, Firefox… Man FF needs a lot of improvements, all my complaints come from Android, the browser is perfect even on macOS!
Zerotier does not use wireguard and even in Android I can see a slightly bigger drain while using a VPN app, as it is using resources in the background after all (you can easily see that with adb or a rooted device), if you are not a battery freak then that’s fine I guess, I live in a 3rd world country where I can seed torrents 24/7 and ISP will never care, and VPN are a hassle to me at best, I only use them when I needed, AKA when I want to bypass CGNAT and access my Synology NAS/Plex server.
I heavily debloated my Nvidia Shield TV and whenever I activate Proton VPN I can see it takes its resources which might affect my also heavily customized Kodi setup lol, that’s why I don’t like to run VPNs there either.
