    The discharge petition needed 218 signatures before it could prompt the House to force a vote. After Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.) was sworn in on Wednesday, she provided the last decisive signature to move the discharge petition forward. And now that is has the required 218 signatures, members cannot remove their names.

    Oh, that’s why they dragged their feet swearing her in.

    Said a few days ago, I can see plenty of Republicans defecting on this vote. They know just how hard these files are going to hit and some will be smart enough to get ahead of it.

    “I was for this all along!”
