Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins says data from blue states is "going to give us a platform and a trajectory to fundamentally rebuild this program, have everyone reapply for their benefit, make sure that... they literally are vulnerable and they can't survive without it." | Clips
I have actually. Shortly after, I spent 3 years working for the homeless shelter in my community. Then I volunteered with an org that reaches out to home-free individuals. Now I work with a local chapter of the Red Cross that reaches out to underserved individuals in my city.
By your remarks though, I can tell you’ve never been homeless. lol
I had to steal to eat when I was homeless. Those orga didn’t find me and I didn’t have the resourced to be aware of them. Your homeless radar is extremely off if you can “tell” I haven’t been. Maybe you just got lucky when you were homeless, but the people I had to struggle with all had to at least steal once to get the only meal they’d have for a few days
Fair enough. But it’s silly to think, and imply, that all poor people steal. That’s just not true. And is a horrible stereotype that you shouldn’t be pushing.
I never implied that, I simply said some need to, you took it to the extreme that all of them have to. I’m okay with 1.6% of all SNAP being fraud, we can deal with that after we deal with the reason why millions of people are on it in the first place.
No, the poor don’t need to steal. And not only poor steal. How old are you? You’re so edgy! lol
Youve never been poor or homeless have you?
