  • If you want to repair your computer, look at the specs of RAM first. If it’s LPDDR then you know it’s not gonna be repairable because it would be soldered. If it’s DDR the computer might be good to repair and upgrade.

Laptop tends to be harder to repair in general. Those who can be repaired tend to be costly.

If you want to know if it can be repaired and to what extent, connect to a VPN in France and browse the models. They are required by law to display a repairability index so you know how much of your laptop can be replaced and how easily. The higher the number, the better.

My recommendation would be to buy a Dell or a Thinkpad. Those things perform well and tend to last longer, even when they tend to be costly when new. MSI is a shitshow, don’t fall for their laptop scam.

If you want to limit or stop the wiretapping go for a Linux distro (Zorin for anything or Nobara for gaming) rather than Windows.

  • If you look at what he did to everyone who surrounded him, made Chase a paraplegic, bullied Wilson and Cuddy unrelentlessly, drove a car through Cuddy’s living room, made Foreman a lesser doctor than he was destined to be, was part of the reason cutthroat bitch dies, not forgetting the misdiagnosis and the general attitude, yeah… He was the villain of the show

To have the most secure machine possible, you might need a hardened kernel but you absolutely need to have SELinux (or equivalent) rules set up.

The easiest way to have a go at this would be to install OpenSuSE (any version will do, they all ship with SELinux ootb) and follow guides on how to setup SELinux permissions.

  • You know, let us be honest for five minutes.

Psychology has shown that we have biases against anyone who doesn’t look like us. It’s just survival 101 from not so ancient times.

So maybe your parents had theses biases, unconsciently. Maybe even, they have been raised in a society which was racist, by definition. If they have lived anytime before the eighties, things were really rough (not that it’s not right now, but it was something else…)

Now, let’s just say that at their core, they were racist. So what ? Is it really important ? They have shown you how to behave, what is right and what is not. They have worked to better themselves, so that is the only thing that should matter.

Because, in the grand scheme of things, your parents would have told you from age two : do not shit in your pants, and they would have done the same. With dementia, maybe at some point they even forgot that one rule so… Being racist is excusable, because -and I’m sorry- they were not themselves in their final hours.
