We have nothing close to a revolutionary vanguard. The last time we did was probably the Black Panthers and the leadership was either infiltrated or extrajudicially murdered. And that was before the prevalence of the digital panopticon. Mamdani is painted in even liberal circles as the second coming of Stalin. This country is so far right they can’t even accommodate milquetoast social democracy as part of mainstream political discourse.

What are those disaffected people going to do when Trump doesn’t deliver? Vote for Democrats? Right wing infighting will just result in the rise of an even more fascist party.

I’m sorry I just don’t see a way out.

You’ll just have collapse and the rise of warlords as seen in every country that the US has destabilised beyond a certain point.

This is the most likely outcome for the US imo. In our current timeline I think the only shot we have at salvation is either a massive war that requires full societal mobilization or a military coup. I don’t really want to be around for any of those scenarios.

The US is cooked. It needs a completely new political system, full stop. The propaganda is so deep that it may take decades more deterioration before we even get to that point. And then the forces of reaction and the brutality of conflict will be among the worst the world has ever seen. Anyone who thinks we can vote our way out of this mess is delusional. The pace at which quality of life has deteriorated in the last decade is staggering. And that’s before the biggest upward wealth transfer in history in the form of AI driven automation.

Frankly I don’t care enough about this place enough to want to go through that process. And I sure enough don’t want that for my kids. The crimes of this guilty land can only be purged away but with blood etc. but I will watch from a distance thank you very much.

There are some good people in this country no doubt and I feel for them. But the vast majority of these hogs have it coming.
