To provision VMs yes, to configure them I think Ansible works best. But you can call Ansible from Terraform.

Yeah, I believe that too. As an actual proportion of all living people, actually (as in from birth, with a pathological lack of empathy or similar) bad people are most likely a very thin minority.
The rest come from nurturing (friends, family, economic situation), political choices (affordable healthcare, housing, food safety), and bad luck.
We are also gullible and ignorant most of the time, which probably doesn’t help either.
It’s probably both
You can use udev rules and systemd mount or AutoFs.

It was definitely a headache for me as well, but you need a guest agent (like vmwaretools or qemu-guest-agent), a cloud init ready template for the distro of your choice, a cloud init config file (network/user/vendor) and a custom SCSI/ide cloudinit cdrom mounted at boot on your VM. You also can find cloudinit logs on your VM to try and figure out what’s missing or what went wrong.
I’d say we’re still far from it, but that’s definitely where we’re headed full steam
They could but they won’t have enough votes to go through with it unfortunately. The assembly is roughly 33% of the three big groups, the united left, Macron’s party and the far right. With the united left having slightly more seats than the other two.
To be fair we’re pretty tired and hopeless, most people are apathetic now because nothing seems to be working.
Strikes and demonstrations are vilified by the media, the left is not united enough to hit as hard as they should, the president is a child throwing tantrums to have it the way he wants, the media is owned by very few people so they control the narrative, etc.
It honestly feels hopeless, most people want change, but to a lot of people the demonising of the left has worked and the far right seems to be a reasonable option now.
It’s gonna get a lot worse before it gets better unfortunately…
Because some people used it as an excuse to divide us further. Unity is bad when the only thing you want is keeping your power.
I used to love them until the stories of them being fucking horrible people came out. They’ve been accused of rape, human trafficking and slavery.
Douglas Adams writing doesn’t translate well to film I think, a bit like Pratchett’s. It can be done (Good Omens was a great adaptation of Pratchett) but it’s probably super hard to do well and keep the original feeling/spirit
To me, it sounds somewhat like hyper focusing. Are you familiar with ADHD or ASD?
Of course it’s not a 10 years from now thing, but it’s probably going to happen someday, and a dude like Musk or Trump with an artificially extended lifespan could be absolutely devastating.
Well, it’s becoming a genuine concern because of the advances of medicine and the growing understanding of the aging process. Imagine a guy like Musk living for a 100 or 200 years, imagine the accumulation of wealth.
Call me chauvinistic but France is absolutely special in many ways. The diversity of landscapes for a country this size is absolutely mad, not even considering the Outre Mer. The history is insanely rich, the culture is definitely worthwhile, and I’m not even talking about the food and its sheer diversity.
The problem is us, Frenchies, we’ve definitely lost our spark and are getting propaganded to hell. It’s a very sad state of affairs.
Less chauvinistically, I really like Norway and the Nordics in general.
Sex work is going to happen whether it’s legal or not. Might as well regulate it and provide sex workers with a legal framework, healthcare, retirement funds, etc.
It’s a tough read (as in long and highly detailed), but I feel it’s worth it to help understand how the media treats and reports information.
I live in France, and roughly 90% of the media is between the hands of a dozen people at most. You can really feel the impact in the general population.
Not American, but my views of America being “the good guy” completely crumbled when I read Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent.
It made me put into perspective the amount of propaganda we’re being fed by mass media, just by reporting with carefully chosen words. It’s obviously not limited to America, because the same patterns are being used all around the world to justify imperialism, nationalism and ruthless capitalism.
It also helped me realise how fucked up some of the things my government did (and is still doing to be fair) and we just gobble it up, because it’s insanely hard to get out of the bubbles we’ve created for ourselves.
Given the number they supposedly have, even if only 1% of them actually work, that’s way more than enough to blow up the world.
