No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How far do you wear your daily shoes out before bothering to replace them?English
3·1 month agoNot this much, at least not daily. I have some old pairs that i use for doing things that I don’t want my nicer shoes to do.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•I need to vent about plastic milk jugsEnglish
131·2 months agoI’m confused, how are the dimples added after the milk is dispensed into the container? They would need to dispense the milk, measure the amount of milk missing from filling the slightly misshapen container, then add a dimple of the correct size so that the milk is nearly to the top. Is that correct? i’m going to have to look next time I’m buying milk to see if there’s a variation in the dimple sizes.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Not seen here, but do social medias (namely and especially Reddit) seem to like to show "neutral" videos of India, that show it in a bad light?
2·2 months agoYou’re right that I should have clarified, that’s ignoring the Indian based subreddit, which as you state are a lot more normal.

1·2 months agoCould you expand more on your 2nd to last sentence? What do you mean be devolved?
Yeah it could just be confirmation bias, it’s definitely hard to confirm those things, and the paranoia with country backed actors trying to affect social media complicates things more.

1·2 months agoAgreed, but what I found interesting is how it’s more common with Indian culture than others. I have seen these, seemingly, ragebait videos with other cultures, but it feels like there’s more with Indian culture.

2·2 months agoI would have expected what you’re saying to be true, but what I find interesting is I have seen less of the other stereotypes than of the Indian stereotypes. It’s a bit strange in my mind the inequality when you would expect them all be appear equally.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•I hate how inescapable politics are on Lemmy, but at least nobody's constantly asking how blind people wipe their butt or pick up their dog's poop then completely ignoring me when I try to answer.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What Does Lemmy Think of WikiHow These Days?
9·3 months agoSame feelings. I remember reading horrible articles about 5 years ago from them, that I still to this day, don’t trust them. I’ve maybe intentionally been to their site 1 or 2 times in that time
Can’t really take you seriously. Fascists and Nazis are both bad, but you’re are idiotic or ignorant to say they are the same.
… are you saying all fascists are nazis?
You’re going to have to explain your comment because it seems you’re making making a way out there comment

211·4 months agowhat’s clunky? I would agree they have some clunky elements, mainly the targetting will sometimes cause problems, but I don’t recall much else being necessarily clunky.
my guy, smeagol was living in a cave because of the ring… i don’t think the ring connected to a chain link will change a thing, especailly if it’s wearable lol.
So many bites next to each other could be a bed bug. My understanding is that they’ll leave little black dots around the bites as well. Did you see any before? Otherwise, any of mosquitoes, or fleas.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You play a game where you have to memorize a random passphrase and recite it the next day for $1000, game repeats each day but with +1word and +$1000 prize; How many days can you continue this?English
6·5 months agoI think i can get to 40ish words. I mean i have a whole day to focus on remembering the words, and it’s not ridiculously hard since its only 1 additional word per day, while the rest remain the same. It seems if I do make it to 40 words, i would have earned 666,000.00 USD which is pretty amazing. here’s table of the first 10 words:
Day | Cash per day | Number of words | cumulative earned 1 1,000.00 5 1,000.00 2 2,000.00 6 3,000.00 3 3,000.00 7 6,000.00 4 4,000.00 8 10,000.00 5 5,000.00 9 15,000.00 6 6,000.00 10 21,000.00
