Got it. What I’m looking for is something like we had in the past. Place where you can post videos, clips or have discussions on current events. Mods seem very different in the past 5 years. Everything is extremely boxed in. For example if I saw a video of Jon Stewart that was giving a great speech, where could I post that here on lemme? I’ve been in this situation a few times and it looks like I could maybe find a jon Stewart community with 6 people but there isn’t really a community to post the random stuff we come across and it’s killing a lot of momentum in my mind to get leftist communities up and going.

One community might be strictly clips only and only clips that are about a narrow subject. Another community is strictly headlines online and about a narrow subject. Another community are meme focused but memes with only skeletons in it. But then there’s a community for meme but without skeletons. If you post a skeleton meme, banned. Like this moderation and community-based policing i think seemed like a nice idea to keep it orderly, but i feel we’re losing real community and I’m searching for places that get it.

Mods there remove videos they don’t like. I had one up of a suspected agent provocateur burning a flag at a protest and then trying to disappear but the protestors corner him. It got a lot of attention and mods randomly removed it saying fuck the American flag

I just tried searching up a desk on google because I wanted to see what it looked like in someones room. Instead all I got was 100% links to wayfair for pages. I kept scrolling and it was all wayfair links. I remember when I would search for something and it was links to shit people posted, not businesses.

Wait, this is horrible advice. It’s the opposite of what any successful entity does. The wheel here is a problem that the authoritarians have solved long ago. If you’re not reinventing it then you’re cooked before you even go to the store to buy your markers and bullshit cardboard supplies. They have studied the same old civil protests for decades. They have made laws to prevent protestors from being effective. They have decades of behavioral studies and actionable propaganda that they pull out and dust off every time you even think about sharing one of those ‘no kings’ or ‘general strike’ posts. Any protest you can imagine they have solved. If you don’t reinvent the wheel, you’re going to look fucking stupid when you show up with another 700m people and go home having accomplished nothing except get your leadership and organizers arrested.

That wheel needs to be reinvented. Look at the truck convoy. Hate them all you want but they did something brilliant. It was brilliant because at their top they had people who studied and knew police and authoritarian response and they found solutions to break them. After all, they were the authoritarians. They first drove through the streets across America to build awareness and hype. It’s a fucking parade. People came out and cheered on over passes as they rolled through. Others joined. Then they filled cities with so many vehicles and trucks that the police had no idea how to even responsed. How do police safely weave themselves into that formation to make arrests. Then what do they do with the trucks just sitting there? The truckers made it a street party to prevent police from committing violence. They invited families down to enjoy music and hot tubs while also shutting down major parts of cities everywhere neutralizing police ability to do their job.

The left do not have the same effort at the top. It’s lacking. But they need to figure it out super fast because I promise you if you’re just showing up to the streets with the same old shit then you’ve already lost. That wheel needs to be reinvented quick

Laws specifically targeting disarming leftist

The clownvoy showed up with enough big trucks that the police could not fight out how to handle them. They also invited people to come hang out so police couldn’t just tear gas and beat skulls in. The left are still protesting in ways that they protested 70 years ago. The police and military have literal books and charts to deal with it. Unless these protest evolve, they’re really not doing back shit

Would be incredible to see protest where they show up to any ice presence fully armed. Still act as observes but also to ensure ice doesn’t execute anymore Americans

I’m with you on all that except for the part that you’re reacting. Which is a major issue on the left lately. It’s all reaction to things others are proactively doing. The left needs to do all you said while also adapting that prepper and survival mindset. There are no courts or police or military as we knew it. It’s just us and we need each other to be as ready as possible. That hammer is going to drop on us. Trump or ICE or MAGA will not go away until they inflict much more harm. Every panic in the past shows this. It doesn’t end until an event occurs that is so shocking everybody kind of wakes out of a daze. The problem is we’ve had multiple shocks and they get stronger. This means it isn’t just run of the mill momentary crash out. It’s something else. It’s not going to end

Better than nothing. Also not self defense. Hit the gym. Get a gun. Go train at a gym BJJ, MMA whatever but do something. Use the hate for fascists to drive training. I’m so tired of seeing protestors get knocked out trying to act tough. Nothing sets the effort back like watching your side get beat repeatedly. We can act high and morally superior but if we reject the basics then it’s all hollow. You need to support all of it with some type of power and power comes from winning at whatever you do. If we’re protesting only because they’re letting us because they haven’t become more violent yet then we’re not actually protesting. The idea isn’t to go out and hurt anyone or instigating. It’s to be ready when they do.

Why. Like this is what I’m talking about. Some heritage foundation think tank spent a year telling you they’re taking yer jobs and drawing pictures of your women naked and stealing your water and now you’re just a zealot refusing to use something that clearly would be beneficial.

You’re on a computer. You probably game too. You’re burning resources where ever you go. We need tools to fight fascists. I say use the tools we have. Without it, they have an advantage being able to create content and analysis. Also forests are fine. Don’t be dramatic.
