Is SoCal short for Southern California or does it have to do with Southern Canada? I am from the rest of the world and I’m not familiar with these whatchacallits.

I should have clarified that mine are cheap in a way that there is no way to change the color. It seems they just used single colored leds of different colors that are installed in this rainbow pattern. I would’ve changed them to something else if I could.

You will always be welcome to play some games in my home, if you’re ever in the area. I have multiple computers so we can always play lan games.

But what I mentioned is what I hear most of the time when I ask people if they want to hang out. They don’t have time, too busy, etc. Maybe it’s me and they just don’t like me?

My issue mainly is that people get married and have children and then don’t have time anymore.

It always used to be a hassle to get people to even show up and I feel having families won’t make that any better.

Forward and Back is also nice to map on those buttons if you do a lot of web browsing or navigating through folders.

Nice. Also because it has a little light that’s now on whan you mute things.

I wish Ctrl + C wasn’t the break command in Linux so I could map copy to that. It’s harder to presa Ctrl + Shift + C

I needed a backlit keyboard. A rainbow one was the cheapest backlit one I could find. Good enough for my “other” PC. The gaming one had a backlit one with mechanical switches but I got that on the cheap too.

And Vinyl is also kind of a ritual. With taking it out of the sleeve and putting it on.

On my gaming systems I still use Windows 10.

On my internet browsing and writing systems I’m using ubuntu or linux mint (debian)

All my retro computers use period correct operating systems like (ms-dos 6.22 with) windows 3.11, 95, 98, 2000, XP.

I’ve seen contraptions to carry people down stairs. These were meant to be carried by two able people.

Or two able people might just have to carry a disabled person down the stairs without a contraption.

I hope I’m remembering this right. Sounds humiliating but also problematic if people aren’t trained to do this and/or leave the building without knowing or caring.

Those things sound like the stories we would come up with as children when we let our imagination run wild. But then we went to school and got taught stuff, right?
