Communist != Tankie.

Communism is explicitly an economic framework. “Tankie” defines authoritarians who believe in the Communist economic framework. That leaves a lot of room for all other sorts of Communists.

Hex-bear is the reason I’m on Lemmy.world. That’s why I think people are overblowing the .ML drama.

I haven’t found Lemmy.ml to be all that objectionable. It’s not like they are hexbear.

Everyone got political because that guy is pro genocide. Its a pretty gross stance. Hard to overlook.

Usually only the conservative Democrats on the politics pages. I just block them after a while.

By that logic, brave, duck duck go, start page, qwant, and mojeek could also just be lying.

It is if they dont store search queries, which they claim they dont. I have no reason to distrust them.

Im a massive proponent of FOSS, But I have not heard a single sustainable FOSS model for maintaining free search engines. It just takes so much capital to operate.

I think a paid model is much better than a privacy disrespecting / ad driven one.
