Oh it’s worse than that already. We’re owned by a PE group.

10 days is our max away from home. We’ve done 14 twice and both times it was just too long.
US, unlimited vacation and PTO and the major holidays off. We’re encouraged to take off a minimum of 1wk per quarter. Definitely unique in the states. I work for an extremely large startup. Don’t know how long this vacation plan will last. lol.
You nailed it. Nothing is more infuriating than a UI element moving as soon as you go to tap it and you now miss tap something else. I echo stop re-arranging my shit!!
Yeah, not seeing this as the big bad everyone thinks it is. We regularly have Teams meetings with other companies when they’re sharing their proprietary info. I’m okay with a screen capture disabling function just like we’d want to use from time to time.
Oh Workday … Blech.
Even the US has this in places. Definitely not a first in the word situation other than what China tells its citizens.
Shit, my 450/450 dedicated is good enough for a family of 5 with data hungry kids. I’ve also had a similar experience on 500/500 shared. Fiber of course. Screw cable.
As much as I hate to say it, because Fuck Musk, Starlink really is as good as they say in rural areas like yours. FiL has had it since the early beta and it was transformative for him. Streaming is now as good as wired broadband and “no lag” video calls are as well. It drops out very 20 min or so for a minute since the constellation isn’t complete yet but that has been getting better year over year.
Again, Musk is a massive choad, but this is the only decent option for people without anything good.
Still, more than likely, illegal.
You know a fair way to get employees to buy what you want them to? Sell things to them at cost.
Yanni is fairly imaginative and upbeat.
Not seeing the same. I get lots of engagement …
I think you proved that point extremely well.
That’s only assuming the observer is at the location of the source of the light.
I know they exist. I was specifically pointing out that lack of feature in a major computing platform.
Some older, some younger, yeah.
100% they will and want this. I’m a power user and even I see this as the future.
Have you worked in a non-tech field with people? Modern OSs and office apps are not intuitive to them. Hell, a lot have problems with just their phones as is.
There’s a certain vocal tech crowd that is trying to get Apple to put a damn modem in their MacBook Pros, especially since they’ve created their own.
Yes you can hotspot but that’s just one more thing to have to do. There is zero reason not to offer it as an option at this point.
You’ve never used a website that was awful on mobile but not on a desktop? 🙋♂️ I have, and do, daily, for work. It’s definitely better on an iPad but still not touch friendly and that presents certain challenges and workarounds. You still don’t get full functionality.
Personal: 2TB on iCloud shared with the family. I’m, by far, taking up the most space at 160GB.
Haven’t felt the need to use anything else. I’m still on Google too but don’t store anything new there since I have zero trust in my privacy on the service. Come to think of it, I need to remove whatever is still there and move it to iCloud.
Work: It’s all OneDrive/Sharepoint can’t remember the storage we’re given, which I don’t have control over, and don’t love. On Windows, it tends to fail to sync a folder here and there every once in a while for no apparent reason. And I absolutely hate the fact that you can’t attach a file to an Outlook email while it’s still open. Sometimes that is the best way to share it Microsoft! I wish I could use a Mac at work … sigh.
