Everything in Shadowrun should be online, spying on you, and prepared to kill you. Or for it to try and scuttle away to get time to upload to motherbase.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you had to pick the dystopia to live in, what would it be?
2·11 hours agoMe being a twin makes me really not want to live in The Giver lol.
I tried the mayo grilled cheese once and I agree. Not for me at all! I like to butter the outsides and that’s about it.
Easier now twin does the shopping and I text the list so sometimes the list grows too much.
Very mean the snacks were only for children!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you could magically form new nations, which would you break away or unify? (non-serious)
9·3 days agoEvery country is broken down one step. Individual states or provinces are now their own country. If still too large, break into counties or the like.
Whack it with a hammer! Break them up!
I use to have the global feed just opened and it was so fast half the time it would crash and I’d have to restart the page. Loved it though.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you ever interacted with someone you knew had commited highly violent acts?
1·3 days agoSo it happened twenty years ago, turns out he was a serial killer (fucking news to me) and it wasn’t even girlfriend it was women who rejected his ass.
Good thing I was a kid then and he ignored me or I mighta been in trouble.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you ever interacted with someone you knew had commited highly violent acts?
1·3 days agoOh no no. Make no mistake, if someone at the time asked “whose the top five people you think would murder someone who come to this store” he’d be in there.
Boring though.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you ever interacted with someone you knew had commited highly violent acts?
2·4 days agoI met a murderer before he murdered his girlfriend (maybe it was fiance but it was at least girlfriend). I barely remember him. Boring guy normally.
Tell the chickens I said hello!
I’m not sure why no hellos for the others.
Tell them all hello!

Science Memes@mander.xyz•Apparently it is hard to draw a horseshoe crab in a T-shirtEnglish
31·4 days agoWell, it is a very good horseshoe crab in a t-shirt!

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Y'all ever have intrusive thoughts about accidentally dropping stuff in storm drains? (particulary when you have your phone out) And like if that happens, wtf is someone supposed to do?
6·5 days agoI once dropped a toothbrush down the sink. Normally sinks have a catcher mesh installed but we had to remove ours as a quick fix for it leaking. I dropped it perfectly and shoop it’s down the sink. I did fish it out because it hit the ubend and stayed there but I threw it away and got a new one lol. Everything was fine for years though, it was an extremely rare shot for it to go down and not just lay flat in the sink.
This is not helping. I too grip my phone and keys and stuff going over scary things like grates!
ReBoot was great at the time but looking at the cgi now is hard. I still do, but it’s like, damn younger me was so much better at watching it with imagination!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How quick are you to block someone on Lemmy?
1·9 days agoI’m quicker to block here, but if there’s a mute option (like mastodon has) I use that a lot more often.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•If I shared a home with a 36' tall, 2-ton creature, I would be very careful to stay away from its feet while it walked
4·11 days agoBecause they trust us to not step on them. They see that we try to avoid them, and so, of course we won’t hurt them!
Smart but not quite smart enough to realize accidents happen lol.
They do seem to know if someone is disabled though and tend to either run faster (to clear the person’s path faster) or give a wider birth from what I’ve seen. They have to be near the human for awhile to realize though, that’s a learning curve for them.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Given that twins/triplets etc. are generally not born simultaneously, there must be some twins with different birthdays
5·12 days agoSounds like a nightmare for insurance purposes, at least here in the states.
Given they tried to claim my identical twin was not my father’s child but I was. (Twin cost a lot lot more. I was nicu for a week, they were nicu for a month)
The insurance company did not win that argument.
You claim one twin you claim both your dinguses.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is the least logical thing you are afraid of?
2·12 days agoBonk bonk they go into the windows! Fucking asshole bugs those are!

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•To those who grew up in religious schools, what's the craziest thing you remember a teacher telling you?
4·12 days agoOh man, I loved wearing turtle necks and ankle skirts and still being a whore because I had the audacity to have DD by high school! I never even touched a boy in even the vaguest ways in high school!!!

For some reason that scene stuck with me lmao!
