I was going to agree, but I haven’t had Brach’s candy corn in a while, every so often those large companies change the formula to make things cheaper* so it’s hard to be sure.

The youtube algorithm determined the following: people who watch the kind of videos in your history, are also interested in recording netflix shows. And it was right, because you are in fact interested in that (general) topic. This is another possible explanation.
ikr a lot of people go to Church events for “safer” socializing, even if they only attend the services on Christmas and Easter if that. If you’re Catholic or Orthodox, it’s more like a cultural thing. (this may vary by area. Also it’s not really safer, but your grandmother will say it is.)
And plus, once you do have a relationship, it’ll be a lot stronger because you won’t desperately need to be in that relationship at any costs.
Awesome, thanks for the lead.
Hey, sorry for asking this here… I used to access public instances through a URL like this: https://redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=sTEm--FVNe0 and previously there’d be a long list of public instances, whereas now there are only 3-4. I assume this is due to Google’s attacks. If you have a link available, can you direct me to a web page or discussion or something that explains exactly what’s going on there? I’m interested in learning more about the technical details. Thanks.
The last time I bought a Mac was like 10 years ago, at an independent computer shop that specialized in them. The person at the register insisted on getting my personal info “because Apple needed it” but I didn’t want to give it. The person at the register very slowly sauntered up to their manager, had a long discussion, and eventually they figured something out because I suddenly didn’t need to give my info. It was kind of nervewracking because I was paying cash and I was like: what if I hand it over, and they change their mind? It’s not like I could call the cops, I’m the wrong demographic.
Anyway, whenever I thought about getting an Apple system, I remembered that experience and went with something else.

It’s OK dog. The thing is, you figured it out. You’re better off than those that never figured it out. Now you just gotta move on from where you’re at.

FWIW I only ever used those services if they accepted a prepaid credit card. OpenAI didn’t accept prepaid cards when I tried, not sure about Poe. Just something to think about.
Emo nights are a thing around the US, not sure about the crowd age.

Those Aztec weapons are awesome. We need more movies taking place in pre-Columbian times.
Agreed; and Lemmy communites require not only seeding, but tending by a dedicated poster. There are plenty of dead places where someone created the community, maybe made a post or two, then never posted again.
Narrator: That night, GrammarPolice dreamt of a world in which they had not commented in any communities…

The problem is if those people get burned out for carrying a sub-Lemmy by themselves.
Welcome to the community, fam!
Sometimes when you try to subscribe to a community, it’ll just keep saying “request pending” but if you look in your list of subscribed communities you’ll see it there. I think it’s a known bug.
Sure, but… is “too much discussion” really a problem that Lemmy has? This is kind of a threatening time for some of us, especially if we don’t have a lot of friends irl.
