Castle in the sky is my all time favourite! The music and theme hits all the right boxes for me.

It was literally everywhere only a year ago or so in my country. Luckily its started to die out, hoping that trend continues.

NiagaraLauncher is naturally my mister used mobile app, but also my favourite. Makes using my phone a breeze, love how much more accessible my phones becomes with this installed. If it’s one thing I don’t trust its non-EU companies following GDPR. Sure they’re legally bound to, but l mean Meta doesn’t care so why should the rest.

(Yes I’m being overly dramatic about this, but I’ve lost trust ages ago in big tech companies)

Its French as far as I know so at least it abides to gdpr by default.

Wasn’t aware of their price, but yeah thats affordable! Never checked posteo put for that exact reason tho, custom domains is an absolute must for me.

Check out Migadu. Its by far the most affordable option out there I’ve found, at 19€ per year. Its also highly customizable but it does require a custom domain. Highly highly recommend!

It is extremely easy to switch email providers these days. I’d suggest start by setting up a forwarded mail box between Gmail and whatever new mail provider you choose. Then slowly but surely start using the new email address instead of Gmail and change the most important accounts to the new one.

From my understanding thunbird is somewhat separated from this. From the article linked by OP it says:
