It does! Pretty decently at that. Though I mostly used it so I could build for iOS. Got a refurb with apple silicon a bit later on, builds are faster, so it gets turned off quicker.

Agreed, just not the statement I was responding to, which I took as Signal - the company - getting on board with Linux mobile. But maybe I misinterpreted.

They already have a Linux app, I can’t see them not making UI adjustments for Linux phones.

Well, I was considering some Framework hardware, but holy shit they are off the list now.

Not just due to their lackluster response, but that thread is just… infested with hard far right and no real moderation in sight. What the absolute fuck.

How disappointing.

I’d say experiences is still a good answer, its what we ask for when it comes to the kids. They have tons of toys already, they don’t need more, and I’m too particular about tech for my.kids for anyone to buy them tech (without it just getting returned).

We go to animal preserves, science centers, art museums, renaissance fairs, etc. Tickets only for the kids, its more like “pick an event/activity” than anything else I guess.

Sometimes we wait for family to visit so they can go too, sometimes we just take lots of pictures.

Aside from that…

• Rock tumblers are great, but loud, so talk with parents first.
• There are some great kits out there to learn to sew.
• There are electronics kits for kids that basically snap together in different arrangements for different circuits
• Marble kits (where you build different layouts) can be fun
• Terrariums with guides are always a good option IMO
• Magnet blocks are also really fun and can be reused a bunch

Pretty much everyone around here uses the default name. So its a bunch of “ARRRIS_xxxx”, “Netgear_xxxx”, and the occasional “LASTNAME”.

Nothing fun aside from us unfortunately.

They also seem to crash grindr at every convention despite historically railing against homosexuality at every opportunity.

There tends to be a massive difference between what they say and what they want/do.

I won’t actually be going to apple, but to a linuxphone, but saying Apple is probably going to have more impact so I went with that.

Is it relevant to complaining to google about their stupid decision they are trying to brush off as if it were nothing?

Because I assume you (and others) are missing the entire point of my comment.
