And that’s perfectly fine, life would be dull if we all liked and disliked the same things.

Ey r rkid there ain’t no need for that you muppet
I am not American, but I believe the reason a felon can run is that the founding fathers didn’t want peoples political rivals to be able to bring charges to stop someone being president.
Thank you for providing more information and those articles.
I’ve been reading a little about this this morning and it’s kinda crazy that probably the largest humanitarian crisis on earth right now isn’t getting more mainstream media attention.
You don’t find happiness. It comes and goes. Imagine being happy all the time; it would just become normal. You need non happy times to appreciate the happy times.
As someone that is either very happy or very sad, I find happiness in my hobbies. I need my mind to be occupied to pass the time, but then there is the thought I’m just waiting to die and passing time.
Hobbies that make me happy are:
As someone who is down a lot of the time and has ADHD but stopped the meds as the side affects were worse than living with ADHD; I’ve found that routine is a massive thing required to be content with life. Consistent bed time and wake time. I am not a morning person but after 18 months of waking at 07:30 or 06:00, depending on if I’m taking the train to work, that I now wake up a few minutes before my alarm quite often; I’m still tired and I hate it but it gets easier.
Spending time with other people is key too. I find if I’m down it’s usually cause I’ve been alone a lot (which I love) and that can be bad for me so I’ll go see friends even if I don’t want to just to engage.
Luckily I can spot when I’m spiralling. I have an urge to fire up Minecraft and live vicariously through Steve and shut out the world.
I don’t really know much about this, but this feels wrong.
Why punish consumers, we should be striving to make European cars cheaper not make Chinese ones more expensive.
I’m sure there are many European countries where the government funds progression in other industries.
We also let American companies take control of industries.
I’m interested in hearing more about what’s happening in Sudan and why.
I’ve been to a lot of pro Palestine marches and there is often a lot of Sudanese people there speaking about issues happening there.
Me when I discovered Ren a couple of days ago listening to his music constantly for two days.
You will not be disappointed if you check him out.
Disclaimer: I’m all about the lyrics, so you need to listen to it all. This guy has everything though.
No problem. I just want to say your English is amazing for a non-native speaker / writer.
Also, I carry my burdens around the home like Sisyphus so there is that 😂.
As long as it’s not detrimental to other areas of your life, I don’t see that as a bad thing.
I’m not sure if you’re being serious right now and it doesn’t help that my Greek mythology knowledge is severely lacking (something I’ve wanted to learn more about).
So in case you don’t know what I’m talking about, indoor bouldering is like indoor rock climbing but not so high you need a belay system. Also, the climbs imitate boulders and so you might climb with all the holds being above your head, like the top of a cave.
As an expert in hobbies, I can honestly say this is freaking amazing. It’s got physical activity mixed in with problem solving and all the people I’ve talked to are super nice too (geeks, we are all geeks). If anything like me I find it hard to turn off my mind; this does that for me though. It’s meditative for me.
Crystal.
I could have guessed until the end of time and welding probably wouldn’t have been a guess.
That’s a cool hobby. I know if I had a welder I wouldn’t be able to just not weld random things.
My hobby is hobbies. I start something spend whatever money I want whilst it entertains me and then drop it without reason and move on to something else. Some I will come back to years later.
The curse of ADHD.
When friends comment on my ever changing hobbies and dropping them, my reply is simple; it’s the journey for me and not the end goal.
Current hobbies and durations:
Do we just guess what that hobby is?
I don’t mean this to come across as rude, but why would you make this comment and not mention the hobby; without it the comment is pretty useless.
Erm… normal I guess. I don’t know what it would feel like with children.
What I do know is I would be a terrible parent, I only got my shit together in my late thirties and I wouldn’t have been a good parent, so it’s good for the kids that I didn’t have any.
These are all example from decades ago growing up in the 90’s.
I was called gay for not liking soccer, like it’s gay to not watch men chase a ball in shorts.
I was called gay for wearing UGG boots as a dude. Like if we even want to accept gay as an insult, I would argue the person bothered by such things as what shoes one is wearing is more fitting of an insult.
Fun fact. When I had a house mate who was gay, it was very difficult not to use gay as a word for something that wasn’t fun. Like this show is gay. He didn’t mind, but still wanted to stop.
I’m not American so not sure I can vote, but I was I would absolutely be voting for the Dems, as the way it appears to me is Trump would be a lot worse for Palestinians than Harris would. This isn’t to say Harris will be good for Palestine, but if I tie you to a chair and tell you I’m either going to remove one of your eyes or both of your eyes and if you abstain I’ll take them both anyway.
I’m sure you would reluctantly choose to lose one eye and not both.
I don’t see a lesser evil here, both are going to kill my family. The lesser evil would be if one party is only going to kill half my family and yes I would vote for that party over the one that is going to kill ALL my family, after all it’s a two party system and one of them is going to win.
Can we have one mention of windows or macOS without someone coming shilling Linux all smug and superior?
I’m extremely tech savvy, a software engineer and nerd of decades, so I got sick of seeing all the Linux stuff and decided to wipe windows last week.
Installed fedora, set up networking and then the Nvidia Proprietary drivers and did whatever it needed to do with secure boot.
Powered off and on and boom no network connectivity at all and not sure what happened.
Suffice to say it piqued my inner nerd and I’ll put hours into setting this up again as it’s fun, I’ve gone Arch btw, but let’s not pretend that the average user is going to have an easier experience than they would on windows or Mac.
