isn’t it 1:1?
Professor Chaos
this looks very interesting! any pointers on how to (get) use(d to) it?
not exist
WDYM the repos are very slow?
i’m using it as a daily driver for a couple of years now
it is built so that non-free packages can be made easily available (e.g. the non-guix channel). being sort of a meta-OS, already a bunch of operating systems were built on top of it, arguably easier to just get started as a novice
As a counterpoint to the majority of answers here, I’d love to suggest GNU Guix as the best answer. Like Nix, but enhanced for freedom with a formidable governance model. Built on freedom. Built to last forever. Also easier and more beautiful
Wait
White Anglo-Saxon Protestants are people!?
and some of us are barely people
for sure. but content usually does not advertise itself, so…?
Plume seems discontinued or not actively maintained (anymore)
very intersting! thanks!
i already know how to create my own website - i’m just curious whether that’s (still) the best option
i’ve been into gemini and similar tech - and i really love it! did actually consider it, although i’m not sure whether it’s an obstace for less tech-savvy people to reach my content?
Hugo looks promising - especially since i’m somewhat critical of huge (js heavy), dynamic websites
but how do i gain reach? should i just advertise on lemmy/fediverse and hope to get traction?
GNU Guix
