Check out the Corridor Crew episode on it. A lot of what we love was actually due to budget limitations! Like the super detailed backgrounds are digital paintings as opposed to being fully 3d.

They cut a LOT of corners but not in a bad way. Limitation breeds creativity and Riot absolutely nailed it

It might take some time but if you don’t want to start fresh with a new account, mark everything you don’t want as Not Interested as they pop up until your feed is clean! It’s worth the effort imo

I filed my first complaint against a coworker for arguing with me about ISO standards. I’m an AV engineer and use YYYY-MM-DD for my print sets which he found “confusing” because most fools write M-D-YY. I told him I got approval to do it that way and it might even become mandatory (true) but he wouldn’t drop it. He sarcastically told me I should teach a class on date formats because I think I’m so smart.

We’re an international company and I’m gonna keep using the international standard for dates, douchebag.

Yeah, with a small amount of effort you can really make your YouTube feed work for you. I have a main account full of engineering, computers, and misc entertainment (sketch comedy channels + Atrioc) and a separate one for my work laptop that’s just music. Both feeds are pretty fantastic but the recommendations on latter is especially good - I’ve found a ton of new artists including some with only a few hundred followers (shout out to folk singer Alexander Guy!)

My YouTube algorithm is fantastic. I never see politics because if I want to watch a political video, I open it in a private window

A coworker aggressively made out with my face at a work event out of town and they stopped letting us put alcohol on our expense reports. I was universally blamed for the policy change and HR tried to send ME to sexual harassment training because it was my fault for socializing with her, apparently!

And I still think my use of the word “doomer” is fine. The rest of the comment(s) may not have been pessimistic but the first couple of paragraphs I was referencing were about how I’m statistically more likely to go bankrupt or die…

Extremely pessimistic about the future? Everything I read there was negative and it’s a damn essay, why would I think the rest would be any different?
