If you’re not young, then you’ve had longer to observe systemic bullshit, so I’m not sure why you’re trying to imply that people should become dumber and more other-blind over time.
It is, in fact, everybody’s job to keep their poise, especially in the middle of hell, because otherwise they become incapable of becoming informed anyway, since they just go rage-blind.

Republicans are downright nonsensical and suicidal in their shittiness, for whatever weird reason. Obviously, if they thought it through, they wouldn’t do that…or vote for trump or support anything he’s doing.
The real question is how to get them to actually notice that they don’t get what they want when they do awful shit. They tend to just argue and whinge and turn red-faced and whiny instead. Then: more horrible shit.
Anybody who thinks about that question enough always realizes they don’t want that kind of power and control. Sometimes people think about it partly, get excited by the promises of power, but only misrepresented by their own misunderstandings, and mistakenly think they do.
Nobody actually does, just not everybody realizes it fully.

This is what forced me onto Linux for the first time, and permanently.
It’s partly great, mostly fine, and 10% of the time god damn fucking annoying. Mostly having to learn the fucking game of thrones factions of installing things.
But I don’t feel like there’s a piece of shit company in my computer trying to completely ruin it, so it’s a win. The positives outweigh the negatives, even as someone who wasn’t really into the idea of switching.
But even if it was half as good, it would still be an improvement, given Microsoft destroying itself.

Alternate Player for Twitch on firefox makes the stream load for a few seconds and makes it a little pixelated for a few seconds, but I’ve never seen an ad on it, and the feed is nearly continuous.
Twitch adblocking could use a few more solutions, though.
