What was their name?
What was their name?
Either at a partisan gathering or curled up under my bed in the fetal position while my dogs lick my tears, depending on how things look tomorrow evening
Plenty of excellent journalists have been tied to corporate publications for decades. A couple great New Yorker staff writers come to mind, like Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow
This depends on the type of food.
Fresh meat? Don’t push it.
Tofu? What, is the bean curd going to curdle?
100% in person. You’ve got a much harder battle online. As someone else said, exposure is a big piece. Also just challenging some of their beliefs in a Socratic way
Drag? What do you mean?
That sucks. I’ve managed at a couple places and the only time I’ve ever had scrutiny on employee PTO is when someone calls out “sick” right before/after a holiday (we know you’re hungover). And that was back in the day when I did retail.
To the contrary, working at a small non-profit, they wanted us to pressure people to take their PTO so that they’d stay happy.
Purple is probably the only one that I’m aware of on your list where there’s a legit logic behind it, since dyes used to be harder to come by
“We oppress minorities to scare them away” is hardly a novel tactic
At times, I find “unbiased” sources painful in how they pull their punches. It can be refreshing to me to find sources that are willing to write to their audience.
FWIW, non-profit does not mean unbiased. Nor are they necessarily more accurate.
Richard Head
Now find a good nickname for “Richard”
Borderline doesn’t go away like that. It’s often a lifelong struggle. It takes years of therapy to come back from. There’s not really a medication for it
FWIW, this had “borderline” written all over it, even before you got to the part where he admitted his diagnoses. You know what you did, don’t let him put ideas in your head.
There are lots of great books on BPD out there. Don’t feel like you have to save him, that’s probably the guilt he wants you to feel. You should read up on managing borderline siblings, because that’s tough.
Check out Judith Butler’s Gender Trouble. One of the best books I’ve read on the subject
Well TIL what DINK means. As another DINK household (unless you count the dogs), I have literally never been judged or had a confrontation about this.
Sure, almost all of my friends have kids now, so the nature of our relationships have changed. But I don’t think it’s necessarily in a bad way.
Me in 2015 in a box seat at Lincoln Financial Field. It was an Eagles preseason game and I had been doing an internship at a law firm that owned the box.
It was a fun few months but it convinced me not to go to law school. I still remember when one of the partners at the firm looked me dead in the eye and said “you know we have one of the highest suicide rates of any profession, right?”
Edit: second oldest photo is an article someone sent me over a year later, titled “Is communism cool? Ask a millennial.” Pretty sure it was written by some Heritage Foundation hack or something and I got into a spirited discussion with a family member over it.
Not unless I’ve been accidentally pirating something for the past 6 months that I’ve been loyally using it lol
Voyager has the basics, although when you look at the log it shows everything on the instance for some reason. The mod queue works well though.
