Are you sure about the IQ?
You’re writing very well structured and without errors - at least none that really stick out of or I’ve seen
Sure you’re not just putting yourself down too much?
And anyway, everyone has the tools we’ve got.
Make the best of it. That’s all one can do anyway.
Do what interests you. Do what brings you joy - and do something that brings some income that you can live off.
Don’t overthink the IQ part. Many high intelligence people are having major issues in their life. IQ isn’t everything and really working for what you want, can cancel out many handicaps
And I still don’t believe, that you have such a low IQ.
IQ tests often overvalue performance in time.
If you’re insecure already, you’ll have second thoughts about your answers, lose time and get a lower score.
Edit: and to add to that, a good friend of mine always had A’s in every class in highschool, but scored really bad in IQ tests, because he wanted to do them perfect. While I just went through them as fast as possible. He was like 86 points. But he went on to study theoretical physics.
Probably because shorter videos get more views
But I’m only guessing…
PeerTube is really P2P?
Ok, I could have figured because of the name. Now I feel like an idiot…
Maybe we should start mirroring to a federated service
Just some time ago, I was thinking about some P2P Video service, where everyone would provide the data they have - so like a BitTorrent YouTube
But I’m not sure if that would be viable
I think that would be the death of the platform
I’m even wondering how people can use it as it is without ad blockers or clients like newpipe
Every time I use it on not-my-device I’m losing my nerves, because I have to watch at least 2 ads for a 1min video, when I want to show someone something
All good, just wanted to clarify what I meant
Unique enough with the other hardware IDs
And still, absolutely no reason to go further then the first octets, to have the vendor and device
Or am I missing something?
And I’m currently a happy user of Manjaro since years. But this stuff really isn’t what I want to have on my system …
Yeah, besides some Nvidia driver problems, Manjaro was stable for me as well
Have chosen it, because it was fast to setup and the base configuration wasn’t too of far off my liking
But, by now I’m considering to switch
Yeah, so take the vendor and device id and be done?
Why should they need my unique ID/MAC?
Maybe 2-5mins, if they had to sort something out first with a person in front of me
Usually I go in, have a line of 2-3 people at most, and just tell my name and address, go vote and I’m usually done in like 5mins altogether - 10-15mins for the process is already something I’ve never experienced and would pretty much get to my nerves…

You’ll feel the cold much more.
But after some time, the stomach adapts and you don’t really feel that much hunger anymore.
Just can be, that you produce a Gastritis, because the stomach wants to dissolve something and after some time it’s itself.
Also, muscles will be used, after fat, and you lose weight in a not nice way.
It’s (imho) also really hard to get back to regularly eating normal meals.
After a few weeks of stress and not eating much (last week was like 1.5 sandwiches the whole week), I needed quite some time to be able to process a real meal again.
I would eat a few bites, get the sweats and want to puke.
But the was a bit of an extreme case - at least on countries without famine…
Do nothing but sleep in the bed?
Oh, 'cmon!
My wife won’t be happy about that.
She really likes to cuddle and play with the cat in there
And all of us use Linux, while wearing UNIX socks
Yeah, South African embassy will probably get some nice upgrades
Win - win ?
Hm… Strange
I was very much of the opinion that I had the option, when I bought the laptop, but (at least on mobile) I can’t see it now.
Because I remember, that I was so happy to be able to choose CoreBoot
But checking my BIOS, it’s from insyde
And I’ve no idea what exactly those guys are and what they build up on - or if it’s a completely other UEFI BIOS
That’s a bit of a bummer now, actually
Edit: or maybe I’m mixing it up with the StarLabs StarFighter order, I had to cancel.
That would make at least sense, and my memory is just scrambled, but not completely creating fictional stuff ;-)
I’m having a Framework 16 and chose during ordering to set it up with coreboot
Not sure about libreBoot, and haven’t really looked much into coreboot as well, to be honest, but everything seems to work and I’m happy
Edit: nah, I think, I’ve talked shit and remembered it wrong.
Seems framework currently doesn’t give the option to use coreboot.
Sorry for the misinformation…
Yeah, an ex of mine told me the story of a “friend”, who put a tent up on a festival with a sign reading “long haired men fuck for free”
There was a fucking line outside the tent
So yeah, why not, if it’s consensual.
Still, the hygienics are probably questionable…
With a HDMI-CEC Adapter it could be, that you can even use your TV remote to control your PC/Kodi
Not sure if your TV supports it - as I’m not much of a TV guy and don’t know, if you need any higher standard for that
But I’m quite happy with an old laptop + Kodi, linked up to my TV. Works quite well.
Only have to go through some audio settings for modern movies, where the sound mixing is usually not nice for dialogues…
Is there something like an easy migration script, which would take packages and settings from my current install?
Ok, settings are mostly in my home anyway
Packages I can generate a list, and the manuals throw out the Manjaro stuff
Hmm…I’m having a laptop and a workstation running Manjaro and I really would like to make the switch, but can’t tolerate much downtime, because both are machines for my work
So I’m looking for something to quickly setup everything as I had, without the need to remember everything and do it manually…
