Great point.
Now, are they using this as an excuse to not provide a Windows version?
Should be able to create our own DNS, really. It’s not that complicated.
The interim would be to provide the direct IP of the website.
Honestly, domain names are kind of retarded in 2025. They’re a huge privacy risk and cost money that shouldn’t have to be spent.
Already on it.
Everyone should take pride in downloading what they enjoy.
The legal system exists to be manipulated by rich people, for rich people.
We can blame all the rubes that said “they’re a business and they need to make money!” for why these corporations now have the power of gods.
This is what happens when society is comprised of useful idiots.
“Access to macOS and Windows releases are currently restricted to sponsors, a 5 USD monthly sponsorship is required.”
Really scummy on their part.

Agreed.
Advertising should be illegal.

Thank you. I didn’t know there was a “releases” section to the right of Github repositories.
This is cool, but where do I download it?
So, why even mention apple if you’re going to justify the developer’s actions anyways?
I’m going to go back to blaming the devs now. Nice try defending the people taking money from you. They’re banking on your low standards.
