Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What can I do with my old-but-functional android smartphone?
1·21 days agoI’m more suggesting it as an experiment, not a full force state-of-the-art agent. Could be a great way to learn a new skill

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What can I do with my old-but-functional android smartphone?
9·22 days agoyou could always use it for some tech experiments! there’s lots of examples out there. retro gaming console, home server, run your own AI model (at least better than using big tech!), etc

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•The radical woke subliminal message in Bad Bunny's halftime performance
1·25 days agoAgree that sport and culture have a lot in common, but at this point the sports-part feels like it’s merely a side event to the half time show

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Who were some of your childhood heroes that turned out to be horrible people?
194·27 days agowould not say “hero”, but I did like a lot of Michael Jackson’s music when I was younger.
let’s not pretend he didn’t do anything just because he could settle/pay off everything …
I was leaning towards this option. Any music apps you’d recommend? Got a Bandcamp catalog that could get a nice and worthy place now
Oh I’m not planning to do that! Don’t trust any piece of technology permanently plugged in to a charger!
Thanks! Lots to check out here. It’s 128GB tho, so the entire Wikipedia dump will sadly not be possible … hahaha The “useful useless app” phone might be the way to go. Other than that I was also thinking about using it as a dedicated (offline) media player

- The people behind the Just Judges robbery
- The people behind the “Bende van Nijvel” (although very questionable reputation)

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you wish you'd have known before you started your hobby(s)?
4·2 months agodrummer here as well! I’m very glad to play the drums and not guitar or anything else. Okay, you’re the loudest one, but you also have your own safe space. I really see my drums as a wall between me and the rest of the stage/the band. It’s a comfort zone, a protection. Let the drums do the talking and hide behind your kit (figure of speech, not literally as that would be hard to play)
