    • Joey overlays AI voice and emojis on Fred’s video on Tiktok
    • Dave posts it on Xitter with his own commentary
    • Rick takes a video of a video with the entire tweet superimposed Ends up on reddit
    • DorkyDodo removed and moans about the petty annoyances but not the topic itself
    • Everyone upvotes DorkyDodo
    • Terminally online nerds talk about it Lemmy

  • my $100 Walmart tablet lasts all week with light usage, I doubt this could compare

probably not in a first release, but Android is convulted piece of shit compared to linux desktop environments. Not to mention Google’s and/or OEMs built-in system apps running 24/7 guzzling all your data in the background.

In time, I guess it would beat out in performance and efficiency but lose in the availability of applications, same as desktop linux.

  • Guy brought crypto-bros’ fake twitter/telegram giveaways scheme to youtube. Anybody with some knowledge of social media scams should have been suspicious. But his viewers were mostly kids and kids like flashy over the top content.

    Anyone remember these on Xitter?

With a bot farm driving engagement, there’d be 1000s of comments in few hours. Probably mostly fake but still a lot of suckers reeled in everyday.

I don’t get why this is getting pushback. It’s weird to refuse to understand that other people have different tastes in media consumption.

Because you’re lowering our collective IQ listening to cringe bullshit as entertainment.

  • I know lemmy hates Apple, but if you want a phone where an advertising company isn’t constantly spying on everything you do and don’t want to fiddle with installing a different OS, it’s amazing.

Ignorance is truly bliss, isn’t it?

    https://searchads.apple.com/

All the weird privacy invasive things like Siri (which I aways have disabled), image recognition/search, FaceID, and all that are on-device and send no data out

Did you check their source code? monitored their network traffic with mitm proxy? or just believed what Apple told ya?

Wanna try another talking point you “heard” to feel better about using Apple?
