I’d say the silliness seen here goes hand-in-hand with curiosity and intelligence, which makes them clever and effective hunters. This type of derpiness also earns them a rent free spot in monkey houses. So, dumb as it may seem, this is actually a very fit behavior.
I’m definitely not an expert here and it sounds like you probably know more about this than I do. In my experience, android phones I’ve bought come with google play already installed and cell carrier bloatware. When you turn on the phone for the first time, one of the first steps is setting up your Google account.
If your point is that you can get around all this with stock android and you don’t specifically need grapheneOS, you’re probably right.
I think the point was that its an issue on phones with a standard android setup.
I think the problem is that once your phone knows its location from GPS, google and apps can access this data. The data is then shared with advertisers and also, you know, government agencies.
Unfortunately, even just the names of nearby WiFi networks and Bluetooth connections can be used to determine location. If apps and google services have access to this info, they still have location data on you, even with your cell and GPS radios disabled.
Supposedly GOS doesn’t allow google or apps to access the location data unless you allow it, which is nice.
It’s fun to pee at full power, but that’s how you end up with a varicose vein in your testicle.
Everybody has a price and those guys are getting paid a lot.

I think that in most jurisdictions, it wouldn’t be legal to take someone’s gun and then shoot them with it. Once they’d been disarmed, they may no longer pose a threat. However, if you pulled out your own gun and shot them, this would be self defense, as they were still a threat when you attacked.
Morally, I think many religions claim they’re objective and say that killing is wrong. However, they often carve out exceptions.
My own subjective morality in this case would agree that this is immoral, as the robber has been disarmed. However, its impossible to be sure they’re really no longer a threat.
However however however.
Pretty cool that those decorative roof spur things actually went back to functioning as the angle-of-vulnerability reducing structures, rather than styling elements.
This is more like a chart of, “does being smart help you stay above the poverty line?”
