I never buy snacks or treats in my usual weekly shop - once in while I treat myself such as buying a box of stollen for Christmas… and even then I share with my family. Switching to unsalted/flavoured nuts and fruit after meals helped a lot.
Another thing is getting into the habit of intermittent fasting. At least three days a week, I only eat dinner in a 24hr period. This definitely isn’t for everyone - I only happened to get back into it noticing I was putting on weight working from home through COVID however there are other versions like 16/8

Didn’t know they branched out from doing cards

I’m fortunate enough that I have no issue covering essential expenses, so I’ve setup an automatic transfer after payday to move some of my wages to a savings account. In other words, I don’t have to inconvenience myself at all to save

Exactly, I basically just use mine as a big monitor connected to my PC sat beneath it

Music keeps me going through life, whether it be listening on mobile, on vinyl at home, live at gigs/raves/concerts
I wouldn’t survive

Weirdly reminds me of Futurama

A band I love in a related musical area is Trophy Hunt https://trophyhunt.bandcamp.com/

Maybe not possible in your situation but I have a SFF gaming PC under the TV, so can just use browser on that

Whilst I sympathise and wish I had any idea, I am so jealous… I would commit murder for a full night’s kip

Was going to say, this has solidified my next ereader choice being Kobo

You’d probably be interested in active speakers that could connect to your laptop by 3.5mm or USB to optical, as well as supporting BT to your phone
Do you have a budget, and just to be clear would you only be needing to hear at your desk?
Edit: for an office, something like the Edifier R1380DB looks decent. Can pick them up for under £150 here. Connect to laptop through USB to optical or 3.5mm to line in. Supports BT 5.1

Definitely a lot of black metal particularly where it’s merged with folk influences. Panopticon is a prime example

Gattaca is immense, still underrated imo.
Dark City and (the probably obvious) Arrival are my picks

There is one with John Boyega portraying the son of the Marshal so based maybe 10 years or so after the original. Not quite up there with the first film but still fun, basically “Pacific Rim: Team Kids”

To divide people, families, friends, colleagues, etc is exactly the point of what I consider to be a human sacrifice on the altar of the alt-right. Don’t worry, already got my tin foil hat ready but anything to take attention away from the real culprits of misery for most: the super rich, political “elite” and corporations

Loved Rockbox, installed it on my Sansa Clip+ back in the day and was able to scrobble through it

You might want something a bit bigger for dedicated local music OTG but I love my compact Shanling m0 for listening to music on runs. Relatively cheap, supports SD cards up to 512GB (no built in storage), BT as well as headphone jack
We’ll see how it shakes out but I bet you can tweak the settings or switch away from Niagara to view social media apps or games if you want.
The AI thing is possible future partnerships that I’m wary of too but I hope would be opt in.
They’re bringing back a lot of old features, but old or no I’m glad for it. 3.5mm jack, SD card slot, DND toggle, notification light are all pluses for me. Removable battery would be great but I understand the trade off against capacity.
I’m not even a huge fan of physical keyboards but the price point and other features, as well as being more reasonably sized meant I had to reserve this. If the camera performance is passable, it might even replace my main
