I’m just going to watch memes and shitposts here on Lemmy
Starting to lift weights was the best decision I ever made and the best habit I’ve ever formed. Nagging aches and pains are basically a thing of the past. I’m way more useful, and my lower body, which was once withered and useless after a decade of working in an office, have been replaced with tree trunks and a dump-truck ass
A couple of the accessory benefits of this that in order to support my lifting progress I now eat way better, quit drinking and prioritize proper sleep. Overall it’s just been a huge increase in quality of life
Never give up, never surrender
These are good changes. Also I would suggest that they should have switched it to the Leia maneuver instead of Holdo, have her use the force to put Holdo to sleep or something to save her life. If I remember correctly Carrie Fisher had passed away while it was still in post production?
In episode 17, when Commander Taggart is about to escape the neutron field in the omega-13, he used the auxiliary of deck B… But in the next episode, the schematic shows that deck has been totally vaporized. I was just wondering, do you think that’s a continuity error, or do you think there’s a justifiable reason for it?
Do you know how hard it is to transition the FB users to new federated systems in order to extend/embrace/extinguish them?
Strength training has such an incredible impact on your overall wellbeing everyone should incorporate it into their routine as much as possible
Something like “Temporarily inconvenienced billionaires” I think?
My buddy is an entomologist and one time I tagged along while he went to collect beatles in the highlands. When we got back to the lab one of the specimens I had collected turned out to be a species that was thought to be extinct in the region and hadn’t been spotted in a very long time. He was wildly jealous
Thinking that there is no reason to take your shoes off is the most American thing in the world. There is poop, pee, puke, pollen, pollution, parvo and prions out there, among other things.
In Japan the entryway of a house is usually a step lower than the rest of the house. It is considered part of the outside, where the shoes stay, as well as all of the dirty things from the outside that are on the shoes. And symbolically, your troubles from the outside world are not brought into the house either. It’s a major faux pas to wear your shoes in the house past this step and bring all that shit inside. Interesting contrast
Shoes in the house
I’m extremely consistent with my weightlifting program (1.5 years aww yeah!)

No doubt that… It’s been a long road
Private equity/venture capitalists - they acquire unique brands and then extract all the value and enshitify them into the ground
The correct term is Rickyism
Slowly sail around the world, maybe document it so folks who might not otherwise have the chance to experience those places, can, if they are interested. Live as small and as green as possible on my boat. Solar, wind turbine, water generator.
A little billionaire cocktail math for you. Each billionaire emits in the neighbourhood of 1 million times more CO2 than the average person. So you streetcar just 3000 or so billionaires and that’s the equivalent of reducing the earth’s population by about 3 billion. Can’t really think of anything greener
