    I’m kind of expecting is that the US will ultimately just end up isolating itself. If the economic gravity shifts to Eurasia, then the trade routes to America could become less relevant. Also, with China massively exporting renewable energy and nuclear, the need for oil and gas shipping is diminishing as well. The neighbours of the US will likely be the ones most severely affected by all this.

        For sure, it would be disruptive without a question. Although, it may encourage more local development as an alternative to shipping stuff in. Both South America and Africa are resource rich and are poised to do a lot of industrial development. It’s already starting to happen with China’s help.
