Yeah, people cheering whatever the fuck Zelensky is doing to the people they supposeddly “support” is… Scary to say the least. Is it “won’t happen to me” mentality? Is it “hurt Russia at a cost of whatever amount of Ukrainians it takes” mentality? I dunno…
And the funniest part - I can understand why people downvote my comment (I used quite “strong” language there), but why the fuck are they downvoting the post? XD
Is “kyivindependent” also a Russian propaganda now? 🤦Anyway, there is a good side to this too, I’m even kinda happy that my post got so many downvotes - it means .ml is not a total “tankie” circlejerk, and there actually are people with opposing views here (even if those views are about genociding my country…).

Mostly. Majority of people on this site is more or less the same as reddit, westerners. A lot of them privileged, sheltered westerners. For them, especially the Americans, the war is not real. Their grandfathers weren’t dying in nazi death camps, their fathers weren’t dying from drugs or alcoholism or poverty during economical transformation. For them it’s a show to watch on TV, and since we here are telling them something entirely different than the narration they got used to in last two years, they get cognitive dissonance and lash at what cause it the most. Even including the sources they were taking as a gospel before.
And some are worse, those that are more or less aware, that it was their grandfathers who gained their golden age when ours were dying in camps, and their fathers gained their end of history when ours got pummeled by transformation.

In the last few days Zelensky’s regime hugely ramped up the kidnappings, this news article is about a single case. Bars, concerts, theaters, shopping centers, everything in the big towns is being raided by “recruitment officers” and “police”, some of them are covered in masks and have rifles. Men are kidnapped and sent to die.
Zelensky has already cleansed/genocided villages througout the country (it’s safer because media pays less attention to villages), then it was smaller towns and now it’s time for the big towns.
Please stop supporting this murderer before he finishes off the entire country. I have lots of friends and family members who did not manage to escape the country, and I live in fear that any day might be the day they get kidnapped and sent to die…
A student tells his story about being beaten by “recruitment officers” for answering a call from his mother… He was let go only because he was a student (and therefore, for now, allowed not to die in the meat grinder).

Some blogger from Lviv tells his story about being forcibly pulled from a car by masked people (“recruitment officers”), beaten, thrown on the ground… He complained to police about that, but he cannot even identify who has beaten him because they are all masked… Holy fucking shit.
