People have asked why I was MAGA, and the answer is very simple. In this video I dive into what it meant for me to be a Trump voting Republican. YouTube abou...
Will you settle for some of the chapter titles from the video?
Religious Indoctrination and Political Ignorance
The Turning Point: Leaving the Church and the GOP
Discovering Democratic Values
From Democrat to Anarchist
Conclusion: Ongoing Deconstruction
At the end she says that she’s basically waiting for it all to collapse so that we can start over and that her religious upbringing in no way prepared her for real life.

But is she praxis the necessary lifestyle changes to resist fascism as an anarchist?
The last ex-mormon that careened me, excommunicated me. So I apologize if I’m hesitant in mutual-aiding with her.
The movement is not going to grow if we’re not going to work with people who aren’t perfect anarchists.
People have to learn and practice it, and they’re unlikely to become better anarchists if the very people who can teach them and offer them communuty reject them for not already being perfect in all ways.
Anecdotal negative experience shouldn’t prevent us from assessing people as individuals (and obv avoiding the ones that prove negative to the group)
Anecdotally, I grew up in what became a religious doomsday cult, but like the person in the video, educated myself and became an Anarchist.
Am I a ‘perfect’ anarchist spending every waking moment performing effective anti-fascist praxis? No. But I’m trying my best, just like you probably are too.
Nobody is asking for perfection, but lifestyle changes need to be made to fully deconstruct her abusiveness. I hope she goes to food banks everyday, and praxises little by little what it means to mutual-aid.
And it’s not personal anecdotes. Ex-mormons have mountains of systemic abuses they need to repent, in order to praxis anarchism where we are at. This means, no more youtube, no more lattes, no more phone numbers. It won’t be easy, but it needs to start. Hopefully LDS ceases to exist this year, forever after, and we do not have to suffer their continued abuse longer.
I’m glad we both got out of our cults, but let’s not emulate their behaviors to others. I won’t donate to her “substack,” or give her a “view.” I hope she moves on from narcissistic endeavors.
Listening to her, it seems like she isn’t careening from one belief system to a other. She is consciously trying to understand why she held the beliefs that she held and examining them in the context of her personal morality.
I think she is swinging pretty far left but I think that is common when breaking out of indoctrination. She’s at a similar point to a kid who left their conservative family, went to college, and realized that the world is much bigger than what they learned at home.
I would read an article about it but don’t think I could stomach a video.

So… she’s careening from one radical political philosophy to the next?
She couldn’t have landed on a better ideology, IMO.

Yes that’s very helpful. Thank you!
It’s like me waiting for my mother to croak so I can finally move on. I get that.
