I don’t think you can completely trust any brand. Obviously some are better than others and I assume that’s what you’re asking.
Bosch tend to make pretty good machines. Mercedes cars are okay. Jura coffee makers are decent. Snap on tools are nice. Petzl outdoor gear is good. Armytek lights are solid. 3M products are good. EDZ and Icebreaker garments are nice.
LED technology has progressed massively and is now at the state where you can carry a device with the lighting power of a car headlamp but it only consumes 10W, weighs 200g and fits in the palm of your hand. I can ride my bike through the woods at night, as if it were daytime. All we need now is some technology that makes the woods less creepy after sundown and we’ll be all set.
Another big one for me is Wikipedia and the information sphere in general. I forgot what it’s like to have to physically go to a library to look something up or learn a new skill, amazing power at our fingertips. Showing my age a bit here.
What else? Computer aided engineering tools, cordless power tools, phones and computers in general, lithium ion batteries, my automated coffee maker kills it, drug technology, I like it all.

Among the most important attributes, if not the most important. There has to be some physical attraction and usually that is what gets things going but it’s sometimes surprising how other attributes become more important as the relationship develops. Charisma and humour is huge. Creativity and skill is a massive turn on. Kindness and self awareness, vital. These are often dependent on or related to the base level of intelligence.
It changes over time, too. As a young man, I devoted very little consideration to intelligence but those weren’t really relationships, mostly sex cosplaying as a relationship.

This is the pill that seems impossible to swallow for society at large. We have built a civilization on the assumption that we can keep adding more cars. I checked the manifestos of the recent UK general election candidates, only one explicitly mentioned provision of cycling infrastructure and that party won virtually no support. We are sleepwalking into an ecological collapse, with old conservative people leading the way.
Driving a car badly is much more risky than driving fast.
Some substances help with tasks such as operating machinery for extended periods e.g. stimulants in the amphetamine class of drugs, methamphetamine, dexamphetamine, etc. Cocaine is probably also helpful.
The U.S. Air Force uses dextroamphetamine as one of its “go pills”, given to pilots on long missions to help them remain focused and alert.
Hand tools are spiritual in a way that machine tools will never be. I love the texture and heft of planes. The simplicity and quiet operation. Working with timber and steel is one of the greatest pleasures in life.
