In the Netherlands we still have old politics in charge and basically the bureaucrats run the country. We never get what we vote for, there is always a party (now NSC) that blocks progress and real reforms.
Elect better candidates who reject Marxist ideology.
These kinds of predictions are simply coping mechanisms and pep talks for the supporters. I’ve seen the same behavior in the conservative camp during the Biden administration.
I totally agree. Trump is a populist. Musk is pragmatic, probably goes along with it because he knows who’s in charge. Trump and the electorate. The electorate will certainly going to notice negative impact of DOGE.
Sure, everybody likes cheap stuff - i don’t believe the ‘companies are evil’ narrative. Usually there is a good reason for it and often government is preventing competition.
Make a plan, gather funds - you don’t need to kill people to improve society. This is something almost everybody is complaining about - from the left to the right. Why doesn’t anybody step up and does it better?
Maybe because these companies are not evil and it is just how the government has regulated stuff?
They only have two years - I think it cannot be done orderly. Company I worked for had a reorganization, a lot of people were fired. The organization will have to fix itself, but it is definitely going to hurt. They will have to combine this with deregulation though.
I do think what Milei does in Argentina is a more thought out plan, but maybe DOGE is similar and we don’t know all details.
Start your own insurance company and try to do better instead of complaining.
Best place to waste a ton of money without ever being checked is healthcare. Everybody thinks nothing else is more important and even the notion of cutting expenses will infuriate folks.
Interesting - I think I am going to try Mullvad for reddit (had some issues with a previous account - probably VPN/browser related). I am also interested in trying out Qubes OS. Having qubes for different activities could be very helpful.
I like the libertarian side of this administration - e.g. DOGE and less WOKE - that was out of control and starting to become ridiculous. Harris would have been a disaster for the world imo. At least some common sense.

Vivaldi my main browser, unfortunately high as well. If I want to have more security I usually use Tor browser. Was thinking about Brave but will probably stick with Tor Browser than.
In the Netherlands we’ve had 4 terms of Rutte as prime minister. His first two were fine, but the last 2 he basically destroyed our country. So I would advise against it. 8 years is enough. Give Vance a chance.
